Millstreet International 2014

Millstreet International 2014

19 August 2014

I had a good weekend at the Millstreet International which is basically my home show, in Ireland last weekend.

Codarco jumped really well being clear everyday in the Boomerang Qualifiers and going on to take the final on the last day in fine form.

Lots of good horses have won this in the past and he definately feels as if he is one of the best young horses I have had.

He has a really good mentality. He’s really with you around the course. He has a lot of experience; I’ve had him in a lot of the seven-year-old classes abroad, for example in Glock in Austria he was clear every day. So he’s got plenty of miles up. This was actually the first time I half set him alight and he was even more sharp when I went quick, which is a good sign.

This weekend is a weekend at home before heading of to the British Showjumping Scope Festival with Beth Vernon and some of the younger horses.

The Luidam youngsters where again to the fore here with Ard Ginger Pop taking the Millstreet Ruby 5 Year Old Championship and and lots of other amazing young horses by Luidam performing well.
